Udit is the CEO and Managing Director of Spectranet, the fast growing internet service provider focused on delivering the most amazing internet experience to its consumers. With keen understanding of market dynamics, technology and trends, Udit continues to lead Spectranet to be the preferred choice for internet services for business and home consumers.
Udit led the acquisition of Spectranet in 2008 and founded Citycom Networks, a fully integrated internet and data services company with its own fiber network in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Bangalore, Chennai, & Mumbai and International Gateway in Mumbai. Citycom is licensed to provide internet, national long distance and international long distance services pan India. In 2011, London's Global Telecoms Business Magazine named Udit in the list of 40 Global Telecoms Business Leaders under 40.
In addition to leading Spectranet, Udit also co-founded Ubico Networks in 2007. Ubico is the first largest independent and neutral infrastructure provider of in-building and in-campus coverage solutions in India. Ubico’s innovative commercial model, which has today become the industry benchmark, has enabled Ubico to garner over 100 million square feet of coverage. In his current role as a director, Udit provides strategic guidance and direction to the company. For his work at Ubico, Udit was awarded the Young Innovative Telecom Entrepreneur Award at the National Telecom Awards 2009 and is featured as a game changer by CNBC-TV 18 in its “Young Turks Transformers” program.
Udit also led Shyam Telecom’s winning bid for the acquisition of a Low Power GSM license in the UK in 2006, a first of its kind in the world. He also led NGMA, one of India’s first value-added services providers, delivering innovative content to mobile operators.
Along with Ubico, Udit serves on the Board of VNL. Udit holds a Master of Science degree in Telecommunication Management and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey, USA.
